Evening portrait for the 125th anniversary of the writer Vsevolod Ivanov

On February 24, in the Regional Library, a regular meeting of the participants of the literary and musical club "Sources" took place. The evening portrait “The road of life of Vsevolod Ivanov began here” was dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the writer and playwright, a native of the village of Lebyazhye (now the village of Aqquly). The event was attended by representatives of the city’s creative community, students of B. Akhmetov Higher Pedagogical College.

The poet, literary critic, author of the article “In the footsteps of the fakir Sivolot” Olga Grigoryeva spoke about the study of the literary heritage of the writer, about visiting memorial sites. Tatyana Koreshkova, an employee of the Museum House P. Vasilyeva, in her speech, emphasized the period of the writer’s activity when he worked in a printing house located in the historical part of Pavlodar. Particularly noted was the fact that Vs. Ivanov was a participant in the Nuremberg trials - an international trial of former leaders of Nazi Germany. The curator of the public library of the Slavic Center, Natalya Kolodina, spoke about the International Competition for the Creativity of Vs. Ivanov among Youth in 2015. The Slavic Center, with the support of the Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute, initiated the contest.

Excerpts from the writer's works were performed by members of the Istoki club - Natalia Mlyntseva, Nina Mazina, Lyudmila Ungefug. A special atmosphere was created by songs performed by the Cossack vocal group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of the Pavlodar region.
