Pavlodar Reads to Children" action

The action "Pavlodar Reads to Children" started on April 17 in the center of children's reading named after S. Bayazitov. Since the action takes place in the format of a reading marathon and meetings with interesting people, the participants of the first day of the action for 4 hours met with famous people for whom reading books remains the most favorite hobby.

Poet, translator, member of Kazakhstan Writers' Union Aibek Oralhan told about the works of Jack London and read an excerpt from the story "The Tale of Kish. The children learned who instilled in Aibek a passion for reading and how it influenced his later career choice.

Alexander Shitov, Chairman of Pavlodar "Maidan Zholy" recollected the book he had read when he was a schoolboy. This is the story of Arkady Gaidar "Timur and his team".

Alexander Vervekin, a journalist, Chairman of the Pavlodar regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, Director of the PA "Pavlodar House of Geography" read excerpts from the book "Tattooist from Auschwitz" by Heather Morris.

From the conversation with Maya Shuakbaeva, a journalist of Eurasia Channel 1 and the "City Week" newspaper, children learned that fairy tales can also have political stories, and that active and meaningful reading can help at school and save time for homework preparation. Maya told about the author of children's fairy tales Gianni Rodari and read several fairy tales from the book "Fairy Tales on the Phone. And as a memento of her participation in this action, Maya presented this book to our library
