The Poetic Marathon "Biik Tulga"

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Zhuban Moldagaliyev, an outstanding Kazakh poet, warrior, chairman of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, author of the poem "Men - Kazakpyn" (I am Kazakh). The Regional Library named after S. Toraigyrov held a poetic marathon "Biik tulga" to celebrate this significant date.

Zhuban Moldagaliev, together with Kazakh poetry, became a master of artistic expression, a poet who promoted the multinational Soviet poetry. His poetic and philosophical poems are among the significant successes of the Kazakh poetry. The poems "Men-Kazakpyn", "Aittym Salem", "Tugan Zher", "Qiyal Kanaty", "Mereke Dastarkhany" are full of lyrical reflections – the poet deeply reflects on time, man, era, changes. Through his lyric works on various topics, he talks about the image of his native land, homeland, love for his nationality, the Kazakh language, his fate, mother, woman, love, war and peace, contemporaries. His poem "Men - Kazakpyn" is one of the most valuable examples of the Kazakh literature. The poems of Zhuban Moldagaliev today are read with special enthusiasm by the younger generation.

Huandakh Ainur, librarian of the Maikain Secondary School; Gulmira Tuzelbayeva, student of PSPU; Sydyk Gulnur, 1st year student of the Higher Pedagogical College named after B. Akhmetov; Temirlan Musenov, volunteer; Yerzhan Ulan,2nd year student of the InEU took part in the poetry marathon. The recited poems included "Baqyt", "Kuz", "Tusimde Kordim Anazhan", the poem "Men - Kazakpyn".
