Project “Bibliocaravan” at the Center for Public Services

Library staff presented a book exhibition "From the Funds of the Regional Library" and introduced visitors to the library information resources at the Center for Public Services that is located on 48 Pavlova Street.

The international book sector reviewed literature in foreign languages. Visitors had the opportunity not only to be acquainted with foreign literature but also to read.

The rare book room presented publications from collections: XIX - mid-XX centuries, Kazakh press, autographed books. The oldest editions of the library aroused great interest in the book of the English philosopher John Toland, “Nazarene, or the Christianity of the Jews, Gentiles and Mohammedans,” published in Paris in 1777, and the Kazakhstan edition, stored in the regional library, is the “Agricultural Survey of the Semipalatinsk Region for 1915”, printed in the electro printing house of the city of Semipalatinsk in 1917, etc.

The books of Abai took a special place at the exhibition. There were the books “Favorites” (1945) with a foreword by M. Auezov and “Selected Poems” (1936).
