Project "Grandma's Tales"

The project "Grandma's Tales" has been working online all summer. It was aimed at supporting the creative connection of generations - young and old through their involvement in fabulous play activities, to renew and continue the traditions of reading and telling fairy tales in the family, and at the same time to emphasize and define the role of grandparents in the family, in first of all, as translators of spiritual values.

The project participants themselves chose works, no more than five minutes long, which they read to their grandchildren: folk tales, fairy tales of the peoples of the world in Kazakh and Russian, Kazakh and foreign author's tales.

Our partners - “Zamandas-Pavlodar”, “Council of War and Labor Veterans”, Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, Public Association “Nurana”, Council of Elders “Aksakaldar Alkasy”, library readers, as well as Pavlodar writers, poets, took an active part in the project, journalists - O. Grigorieva, S. Satybaldin, A. Kolodin, who read their works for children.

Now we have 26 audio fairy tales in our collection that you can listen to and watch on the library's YouTube channel.
