The book "Macramé: A Practical Guide" for the blind and visually impaired readers

On May 1, the fund of the Regional Library named after S. Toraigyrov was replenished with another book in relief-point format "Macrame: A Practical Guide" The book was published on the basis of the service center for visitors with disabilities "Zhanashyr" and is addressed to blind and visually impaired readers.

The author of the book Nurimanova Saule Kuatovna is the founder and artistic director of the only handicraft circle in Pavlodar for the blind and visually impaired. To master the technique of weaving macramé, you do not need special tools or special workspaces, those who want to master macramé will only need imagination and patience, therefore this type of needlework is available for people with visual impairments. Using the macramé technique, many things are made with which you can decorate the interior: pots, lampshades, panels, tablecloths, napkins, coasters and many other items that will add sophistication and originality to the decor. Wardrobe items were also mentioned: belts, bags, wallets, pendants, scarves and shawls made using macramé technique will add nobility and sophistication to the style.

On the pages of the book, the author shares his many years of practical experience in the macramé technique, explains the principles of weaving patterns and gives useful tips for calculating threads.
