"The co-author is an artist!"

Today, in the coworking space of the Regional Library named after S. Toraigyrov, within the framework of the Reading Pavlodar festival, a meeting with illustrators from Kazakhstan and Russia took place. At the very beginning of the meeting, sheets with a new children's poem by Pavlodar poet Lyudmila Bevz "Hairdresser" were laid out on the tables, all those present were given the opportunity to draw their own version of the illustration.

The guests of the meeting were: Pavlodar illustrator - Igor Grebennikov and director of the production center "Ruslan Bilyalov Studio" Toraighyrov University - Ruslan Bilyalov, and virtual guests - the head of the Kazakh publishing house of comics "KHAN COMICS" Orazkhan Zhakup and a master of decorative and applied arts, a member of the professional artists union of Russia - Panasenko Nina.

The participants asked questions to the guests of the meeting, talked about the intricacies of creating illustrations, about comics, about opportunities to realize themselves in the comics industry. The head of the publishing house "KHAN COMICS" Orazkhan Zhakup showed his studio, the place where Kazakhstani comics and his team of illustrators are created, spoke about the possibilities of working in the Almaty publishing house. Nina Panasenko showed the illustrated book, told about the peculiarities of working with the author of the book.

Pavlodar illustrator Igor Grebennikov presented the library with a new children's book by the Pavlodar poet Elena Ignatovskaya with his illustrations and the author's autograph. Ruslan Bilyalov, a well-known journalist, producer, public figure in Pavlodar, spoke about his hobby for drawing, education and self-realization, and right there during the meeting he drew his own version of the illustration for the poem. At the end of the meeting, everyone showed their illustrations - they turned out to be bright and completely different!
