A pottery master class was held at the regional library

On May 4, the second day of the PavlodART visual arts festival, a pottery master class was held at the regional library. Pottery is one of the oldest and most interesting crafts. But if in the past it could only be done by masters, today working with clay is possible for everyone. As master Aidar Abdykarimov admits, not everyone manages to make crockery with their own hands at the first attempt. Demonstrating basic skills of working with clay on a pottery wheel, he noted that it is necessary to feel the material, to get used to it, that it is quite ductile and malleable. Everyone could try to make a jar or a bowl out of clay. The process turned out to be very entertaining, and two hours flew by quite quickly. It was the first time such a master class had been held at the regional library, and some of the city's residents already had very good results. The participants of the master class thanked the master and the organizers for the opportunity to experience the joy of creating together and the happiness from the results of their work. For some, to try their hand at pottery, to make contact with clay, was a dream come true. It is not merely creativity, but a deeply spiritual work, where one becomes peaceful, calm and happy.
