Book exhibition "Kazakh Muzykasynyn Gulamasy"

On April 29, in the reading room of the Regional Library, the book exhibition "Kazakh Muzykasynyn Gulamasy ", dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh scientist-musicologist and popular composer, People's Artist of the Republic, Doctor of Arts, Professor Akhmet Zhubanov, was presented to the attention of readers.

Composer Akhmet Kuanovich Zhubanov is an original and brightly national artist. The founder of Kazakh Soviet music, he worked his way up to the academician, People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, having written hundreds of research works, articles and feature essays on the national musical culture.

Among the books presented at the exhibition are many years of works by Akhmet Zhubanov about Kazakh folk singers-composers, singers-performers, about their life and work. These are such well-known works as "Strings of Centuries", "Nightingales of Centuries" ("Zamana Bulbuldary"), "Kurmangazy", "Osken Oner", "Muzykadagy algashky adym", "On kuy sapary" ). For the book "Nightingales of Centuries", named by academician M.S. Silchenko "encyclopedia of Kazakh musical culture", Akhmet Zhubanov was awarded the Ch. Valikhanov Prize of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. In it, the author talks about Birzhan-sal, Akhan-sere, Mukhit and other folk performers.

The exhibition also presents books by famous Soviet musicologists and contemporary authors, which contain essays on the creative life of the composer, Akhmet Zhubanov himself: P. Aravin "Steppe constellations", "Akhmet Zhubanov"; B. Gizatov "Academician Akhmet Zhubanov", "From kui to symphony"; "Composers of Kazakhstan" and many others. Including among the editions there are articles from magazines and newspapers.

Akhmet Zhubanov, who jealously guarded the heritage of folk music, until the very last day of his life, never for a moment stopped thinking about its fate, the fate of music, which became the ideal of his life.
