DAY OF FRIENDSHIP IN THE VILLAGE OF KEREY

On october 24, library specialists visited the village of Kerey, Kulundinsky district, the Russian Federation with the program “Sharbakty Zhastary - Tauelsizdіk Zholynda”, as part of cross-border cooperation and the implementation of the projects “Bibliofriendship” of the Sharbakty Central Library Center and “Kitap. Tulga. Zaman” of the Regional Library. Librarians shared their experiences, discussed further plans for cross-border cooperation.

Sharbakty schoolchildren read the works of great Abay, introduced Russians to the work of the legendary fellow countryman Muzafar Alimbayev, students of the Pavlodar College of Music masterfully performed Rustembek Omarov’s “Zhastyk shak” and Dina Nurpeisova’s “Nauay” on the dombra.

The House of Culture of the village of Kerey organized a book exhibition “Kitap. Tulga. Zaman” which revealed the works of Abay, M. Alimbayev, A. Kekilbayev, A. Tazhibayev.

The students of Kerey village pleased with their dances and songs.

The event was attended by the general director of “Mirabilitskoye” LLC V. Fisher, the director of the Kereysky secondary school N. Barinova and villagers. Librarians from the two regions exchanged books.
