Day of National Mourning
July 13, 2020 is a day of national mourning in memory of Kazakhstanis who became victims of the coronavirus pandemic.
In the history of the country, national mourning was declared eight times for various reasons (mainly of a local man-made nature), but for the first time it was declared due to the global coronavirus pandemic and the death of a significant number of Kazakhstani citizens. ⠀
The unprecedentedness of the situation and the death of our compatriots as a result of the coronavirus infection dictate the need to take special measures designed not only to honor the memory of the victims, but also to instill in citizens a sense of community and unity in the fight against the pandemic.
We express words of deep sorrow and sympathy to the families and friends of those affected by Covid-19.
