Reading Pavlodar Festival
The celebration of World Book and Copyright Day is designed to promote the book business and encourage reading. On April 23, celebrations are held all over the world to recognize the magical power of books - the connection between the past and the future, the bridge between generations and cultures.Today, the regional library hosted the opening of the book festival "Reading Pavlodar", dedicated to the World Book and Copyright Day. The purpose: To attract readers to the library, to preserve and increase the number of library attendance, to promote the work of local poets and writers.Members of the Garage motorcycle club supported the regional library, a motorcycle convoy with the logo of the book festival "Reading Pavlodar" marched through the streets of the city, inviting Books to the holiday. Students of Pavlodar Polytechnic Higher College showed a defile of artistic images "On the pages of books".The program of the event includes an exhibition of rare and rare book editions from the regional library fund, a charity book fair, creative meetings with young authors from the Akkula area "Zhastar Live-EIZhastary", with poetess Marina Kisenko, with young author Karlygash Kashkinbai, presentation of books by Svetlana Kurnosova and Lyudmila Bevz, acquaintance with the book by the Pavlodar poet Zhanatalap Nurkenov "Don't leave me a line" with the participation of the poet Svetlana Nurkenova.Chairman of the Pavlodar regional branch of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Serik Yelikbai presents a collection of poems by students of Toraigyrov University.The poet-songwriter Konstantin Simonov will introduce art lovers to the works of Pavlodar poets-bards.
