Evening meeting "Chernobyl - the tragedy of the century"

On April 20, the Library named after S. Toraigyrov held an evening "Chernobyl - the tragedy of the century", dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the united organization "Union of Chernobyl" headed by the founder Deimund Viktor Georgievich. Sabitov Murat Batovich, Osipov Alexander Anatolyevich, Zavgorodniy Nikolai Sergeevich, Pshenbaev Bekbolat Nygmanovich, Kadkalo Vladimir Ivanovich, Baikulov Arnur Madenietovich - liquidators at the Chernobyl NPP.

They talked about their service at the Chernobyl NPP, about their contribution to the common cause, about life "before" and "after" being in the contaminated zone. Their speech left no one indifferent, students of the College of Information Technology asked questions about the further consequences of radiation, its impact on our health and the environment.

In addition, the liquidators said parting words, wishes to the students. In memory of the meeting, our guests were presented with books from the library.
