The "Wonderful World of Childhood" Festival
As part of the celebration of International Children's Day, the S. Bayazitov Children's Reading Center hosted the "Wonderful World of Childhood" festival. The festival kicked off with a book parade titled "My Favorite Books." Library readers showcased books dressed as literary characters. Participants from the "Little Reader School" performed a stage adaptation of the beloved fairy tale "Teremok." At the "Open Mic" creative platform, schoolchildren recited their favorite poems, performed songs and dances, and played musical instruments. Attractions, team games, and board games were organized for the children.
At the "Sheber Qoldar" fair-exhibition, library readers and children from the Social Assistance Department No. 8, which provides home care for disabled children, displayed their creative works. Indira Turekulova, the leader of the "Picasso" studio, conducted a masterclass on gouache painting, as well as Scratch programming language classes for children and workshops on making badges, face painting, and more. During the festival, participants from the "Sakura" and "Lotus" studios, as well as students from the Pavlodar Music College, presented original dance and vocal performances. The festival marked the beginning of the summer reading season, which will continue throughout the summer.
