Hospitality Day "Ult ulysqa ortaq úı - Qazaqstan"

On March 1, on Thanksgiving, the Department of Children's Literature of the Regional Library hospitably opened its doors to readers.

On the first day of spring, all of Kazakhstan celebrates one of the kindest and brightest holidays. This is a holiday of friendship, understanding, and harmony, which are so necessary for a peaceful life in a country where more than 150 nations and nationalities live. On this day, residents of all Kazakhstan can thank each other for tolerance, kindness, and generosity. The holiday appeared only 4 years ago. On January 15, 2016, Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the amendments to the decree on professional and other holidays in Kazakhstan. This date was not chosen by chance - on March 1, 1995, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was established in Kazakhstan. “Remember and be proud of your story” is one of the main messages of the holiday.

During the conversation, the participants learned about the history, traditions, and customs of this holiday, watched the video “Thanksgiving”, took part in the games “Guess who I am?”, “What are the more names?” and the competition “What makes up family happiness?” At the end of the event, the children actively responded to their creative task: to make a postcard with their own hands and write words of gratitude to those people who deserve it.
