Calligraphy master class «Learning Chinese»

On April 20, a calligraphy master class which called «Learning the Chinese Language» was held in the World Literature Hall in honor of Chinese Language Day.

The holiday was established in 2010 "to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity". The date of April 20 was chosen to tribute Cangjie (仓颉), who invented Chinese characters about 5,000 years ago.

During the master class, visitors were introduced to one of the versions of the origin of hieroglyphs. Particiants also had the opportunity to improve their calligraphy skills and get acquainted with the basic knowledge of this amazing form of art.
