New release of the project "Sounding Rare Fund"
We continue our acquaintance with our rare fund. This year, our country celebrates the 175th anniversary of Dzhambul Dzhabayev, and 80 years of his poem "Leningraders, my children." Dzhambul wrote his works in the Kazakh language, the verse is known to us thanks to the translation of Mark Tarkovsky. In the fall of 1941, Leningrad was surrounded by a blockade, in defense of the besieged, the first voice of the great Kazakh akyn Dzhambul Dzhabayev was heard: "Leningraders, my children, Leningraders, my pride ...". The years of Jambul at that time were approaching the century mark. Akin the sage was still a keen soul, letting through all the fullness of life.
In 1941, Algadai, the son of Dzhambul, went to the front. The black plate of the loudspeaker became a sacred thing for the old akyn. From day to day, sad news poured from there. Once a special tragic note sounded in the voice of Yuri Levitan - Leningrad was taken into the blockade. For Dzhambul, the endless Kazakh steppes seemed to tremble ... Pain, compassion, holy anger poured into the akyn's soul. He took a dombra in his hands, and the words poured into the world that escaped from the depths of his heart. Dzhambul sang, relying on all the might of his almost century-old life, compassionate and prophesying.
For the first time, the piercing poem was published in the newspaper Leningradskaya Pravda. Later, at the request of the people of Leningrad, it was published as a separate leaflet and posted on the streets of Leningrad. Throughout the 872 days of the siege, they inspired the residents of the city and its defenders.
