Opening of the "Selected Photos" exhibition
On April 2, the gallery "Ayna" held the opening of the exhibition "Selected Photographs" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Arthur Mettus.
Artur Mettus was a well-known Pavlodar musician, composer, teacher, photographer, member of the USSR Union of Composers (1961) and Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Among the gathered guests were pupils, friends and colleagues of Artur Mettus: photographers Alexander Krashennikov, Sergey and Tatiana Grishina, veteran of Kazakhstan journalism Tamara Karandashova, teacher of music theory of Music College Cherepanova Irina Viktorovna and many others. They with warm words remembered Arthur Alexandrovich. Sergey Grishin and Tamara Karandashova read to the guests touching lines from the last letters received from the photographer.
At the exhibition were presented black and white photos from 1979 to 2002. In the hall near the exhibition area on a big TV screen you could see the book "Selected Photographs", and on an old tape recorder played his famous compositions.
The exhibition can be visited until April 22, 2022.
