Screening of the film "Moving Target"
On December 12, the Center for creative creativity of the regional library in the dormitory of the Chemical and Mechanical College organized an event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For the first time, at the invitation of the college, the event was held in an unusual format. Students living in a dormitory were shown the feature film "Moving Target" directed by Talgat Temenov in a small cinema hall. The film drama reflects the events of December 1986. The film tells about a young student Sanzhar, who was hiding from the authorities after student unrest, about his difficult fate.
Before viewing the film, the students were told about the reasons for the tragic events in Alma-Ata, about the consequences of these events, about the importance of "December-86" in the formation of independent Kazakhstan and what the role of innocent young people who gave their lives for the benefit of their country was.
After an hour and a half of watching the film, the students were able to discuss the plot with a specially invited guest – historian, PHD doctor, teacher of Toraighyrov University Aslan Dybysbekovich Azerbayev. He spoke about the significance of those terrible but fateful days for our country and noted that meetings in this format should be held more often so that our young people know the history of their country.
