Presentation of the local history project «Ata-babalar zholymen»

On April 5, the presentation of the local history project "Ata-babalar zholymen" / "Ways of the ancestors" was held as part of the project "Day of the CLS in the regional library". This year, the librarians of Aktogay district were the first to open a series of events in the framework of this project, which aims to present new, interesting, creative ideas of libraries in the region for the residents and guests of the regional center.

The objective of the project "Ata-babalar zholymen" / "Ways of the ancestors" is to study the history of the Small Motherland: the region, the settlement, the cultural and literary monuments of Aktogay district, as well as familiarization with the life and work of our famous countrymen. In the future, readers' tours to sacred places of Aktogay district will continue. This includes tours to the museums of the famous singer, poet, composer Estay Berkimbayev, poet Kimaliden Nygmanov, to the mausoleum of religious enlightener Bekbau-ata, which will provide more in-depth information about the life and work of prominent figures.

The presentation of the project was attended by the head of the Department of Culture and Art of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archiving of Pavlodar Region A.M. Aksakova, social activists, historians, local historians Zh. Smanov, B. Bozhen, E.S. Zhumatov, honorary citizens of Aktogay district, workers of museums and libraries and readers.
