A lesson on local history «Poet, speaker Sakau Maukeuly»
On January 16, a local history lesson was held in the library "Poet, speaker Sakau Maukeuli", the 225th anniversary of the poet, speaker, public figure. The representative of the Kazakh poetic art of the 19th century S. Maukeuly was born in 1798 in the village of Mayozek, Bayanaul district. In his youth, he was fond of music and wrote poems, participated in debates and was known for his wit.
To our days, 9 poems and five sentences of the poet have arrived, the most famous of which are dedications to my sons Sean Yedigeuly and Toraigyr Yedigeuly. The only evidence of the origin of the poet was preserved thanks to the manuscripts of the famous collector of samples of Kazakh oral folk art Mashhur Zhusup Kopeev, which were collected in the fund of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Students of Y. Altynsarina's gymnasium for gifted children, who took part in the local history lesson, participated in the expressive reading of the poet's poems, familiarized themselves with books about his work and watched the video film "Poem from the Heart".
