Sharing wisdom with children

This year, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, poet, satirist, translator, Honorary Citizen of the Bayanaul District, our compatriot Suleimen Bayazitov celebrated his 75th birthday.

On the eve of the poet’s jubilee, a creative meeting took place in the Pavlodar Regional Library named after S. Toraigyrov “Jyrlarym – elge mura, urpaqqa amanat”. Representatives of the intelligentsia and youth attended the literary and cultural event. Director of the Pavlodar branch of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Arman Kani congratulated the host of the evening and wished good luck. S. Bayazitov is a writer who has contributed to the development of children's literature in the region. During the event, students of the Baurzhan Momyshuly secondary school read poet’s poems. The poets Orazbek Sayakhat and Raushan Amangeldy competed in the “Girl and Boy” aitys (singing poetic competition) written by the main guest of the evening. Member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Akyn Alakanuly, Galymbek Zhumatov, Honorary Citizen of the Bayanaul District Baltabay Syzdykov wished the hero of the anniversary long life and creative success. The main listeners were students of the Bilim Innovation Lyceum for gifted children.

The event dedicated to the poet’s work was accompanied by the book exhibition “Óleńіm - ómіrіm... ”, where S. Bayazitov’s 18 books and works were presented. Among the books is a poetic collection “Two Languages - Two Wings”, which was published by the S. Toraighyrov Regional Library for visually impaired readers in in relief and dot print (Braille).
