The Kazakh village
Perhaps the most colorful, vast and interesting venue for Library Night-2019 was the Kazakh village platform, which opened with the traditional Kazakh “shashu” ceremony and fashion show with the Nomads and National Kazakh Clothing collections presented by students of the Pavlodar College of Service managed by Ainur Soboleva.
The guests were given the opportunity to participate, and for those, who do not know how to play, to learn the Kazakh national games “Toģyz qumalaq”, “Asyq atu”, “Arqan tartu” and receive a well-deserved reward.
The poetry contest “Aitys” engaged Pavlodar’s most eloquent and sharp fellows such as Sh. Baigaly – a journalist, poet, translator, prize winner of a member of the Union of Journalists; B. Mukazhanov – an honorary citizen of the Aktogai region, who celebrated the 70th anniversary this year; M .Bairon and N. Bakir – members of the school of poetry “Zheldіrme”; a young poet K. Bashoy. They introduced visitors to Kazakh oral folk art and surprised at the speed of their thoughts, the ability to respond to the rival in an original and accurate way to any topic. Specially for Aitys contestants there was an improvised yurt decoration in a national style, a dastarkhan with Kazakh national dishes was also served.
At the exhibition of folk applied art “Ulltyq qazyna” one could not only enjoy the beauty and high craftsmanship of the authors ’works, but also purchase items made of silver, felt, wood and original jewelry in a single copy. The attendees included: populist-applied, prize-winner of the international exhibition "EXPO-2017 - Qlyshpek Kurmantegi; needlewoman, master of original products from felt Gulnar Onerkhan. Handmade stone jewelry of own production was presented by Raushan Smagulova, silver products - Bakhytzhan Orazalina.
The site was visited by more than 300 people.
