Evening of national music and poetry «Autumn Blues»
On October 19, as part of the Library Night program, «Autumn Blues» was held - a musical and poetic kaleidoscope that unites the cultures of two peoples: Armenian and Greek.
The diversity of the cultural heritage of the peoples inhabiting our multinational Kazakhstan was expressed in unique poetry and music, which aroused genuine emotions and delight among the audience.
Pupils of the choreographic ensemble of the National Revival School named after K. Darjuman and members of the vocal group «Erebuni» of the Armenian ethnocultural association «Hayrenik» introduced those present to the culture, history, and language of the Armenian people. Children read poems by Armenian and Kazakh poets, girls of the Erebuni vocal group sang songs in Kazakh and Armenian, and the choreographic ensemble decorated the concert with their performance in national costumes.
No less interesting were the Armenian national games, in which the spectators were also involved. Those present were introduced to such games as “Tug of Stick”, “Put on the Papakh”, “Best Dancer”.
The evening continued with a performance by the Greek national cultural center “Elpida”, where the vocal group “Margaritari” performed national songs, and the vocal ensemble “Neos”, together with the chairman of the ethnocenter Ifandopulo Lyudmila Petrovna, held an active and interesting quiz on the knowledge of the myths and legends of Ancient Greece.
