The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Movie Night

On May 12, another movie screening was held in the World Literature Room as part of the Evening Library Project. We watched Mark Herman's film "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas," based on the novel of the same name by John Boyne.

The story about the friendship between German and Jewish boys left nobody indifferent. The audience was most impressed by the scene of hungry Shmuel eating a pie. This time our cinema hall gathered not only young, but also adults and even the youngest spectators. The children from the Chechen-Ingush ethno-cultural association of the School of National Revival also attended the movie night. They were grateful for the informative and interesting story about the horrors of the Holocaust and the need to preserve the historical memory of the terrible events of the past.
