Virtual meeting "Towards a healthier Kazakhstan and Planet"

On April 22, the International Book Sector held a virtual meeting on the topic "Towards a healthier Kazakhstan and Planet", dedicated to the International Day of Mother Earth, celebrated on this day. Garrett Harris, of the US Embassy in Nur-Sultan, presented climate change issues, emissions statistics in Kazakhstan and preventive measures such as green energy, afforestation and smart agriculture, citing examples in the United States. The event brought together over 170 participants from all over Kazakhstan - mainly students and teachers of colleges and universities. During the speech, the audience asked thematic questions and suggested continuing the discussion of the broadcast on the topic of air quality. The interactive game Kahoot summed up the results of the online meeting and determined 5 winners from the cities of Pavlodar and Shymkent, who will receive their prizes - bags in the shape of the Earth.
