Exhibition “Sut Onimderi”

On April 15, the library hosted National Cuisine Day as part of the “Ulttyk kun” project. Milk and meat are products that have been in Kazakh cuisine from time immemorial. Dairy products are called "ak as" - white food. Nomadic life, in which it was not possible to store fresh milk, gave the Kazakh cuisine fermented milk and other products. There is a wide variety of dairy dishes and drinks. The exhibition “Sut Onimderi” attracted a lot of attention from readers. The main dairy products were presented here. This is kumiss - a foamy drink made from mare's milk, shubat (sour camel milk), milk, ayran, shalap (a mixture of water with ayran), kozhe, kaymak (sour cream), sary-may (salted butter), kurt, irimshik (cottage cheese) , cospa, etc.
