A Look from the past

On November the 25th, an evening requiem event titled Vzglyad Iz Proshlogo (A Look from the Past) was organized, dedicated to the memory of great poets of the 70s and 80s from Pavlodar – V. Semeryanova, V. Botova, S. Muzalevsky, D. Priymak, Z. Nurkenova, V. Kuprina, N. Polyakov, and the Schiller Choir. An exhibition of works by these authors was set up. The meeting with poets of the past was not just a reciting of the fates of our bygone talented countrymen, but a reflection on poetry, on the meaning of life, on what they dedicated their careers to. The event featured poetic verses; musical plays; films on the life of the poets and on the time during which they lived and created art and memories retold by the members of the Istoki club. Veteran members of the Schiller Choir performed many beautiful songs.
