Teleconference “Galymnyn Galamat Gasyry”
Academician Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev was not only a phenomenal seer of the secrets of the earth's interior, an outstanding geologist and organizer of academic science, but above all, the greatest thinker and natural scientist of his time. On April 12, it will be 125 years since his birth. On April 11, the teleconference “Galymnyn Galamat Gasyry” between the Pavlodar Regional Universal Scientific Library named after S. Toraigyrov and the Ulytau Regional Universal Library is dedicated to this date. The head of the educational program in geography and chemistry, the Higher School of Natural Sciences, Master of Geography PPU named after A. Margulan Omarov Murabek Kapbasovich, spoke about the student years of Kanysh Imantayevich. The speech of the master, PhD student of Zhezkazgan University named after Omirkhan Baikonurov, scientist-historian Auezov Kabdol Zhastildaevich on the topic was informative. “Study of ancient deposits of Ulytau, Zhezkazgan region by academician Kanysh Satpayev.” The history of the creation and activities of the memorial museum of Academician Kanysh Satpayev in his homeland - in Bayanaul, was told by the museum’s specialist in mass work, Sansyzbay Serikovich Sapargaliev. Senior employee of the department of history and archeology of the Zhezkazgan Historical and Archaeological Museum Erzakova Ziyash Kadirbekovna noted K. Satpayev’s contribution to the musical art. Students Lyceum of school No. 7 named after K. Satpayev in Zhezkazgan declared poems about K. Satpayev. The participants were shown a video about the work of Academician Satpayev’s hall at the Pavlodar Regional Universal Scientific Library named after S. Toraigyrov, opened in 2019. The results of the teleconference were summed up by the head of the Ulytau Regional Universal Library Nurmaganbetov Erlan Ermakovich. He noted that the bright personality of K. Satpayev, his life full of struggle and achievements continues to arouse sincere, deep interest in society. For us, he continues to remain an unshakable example of selfless creative service to science and his people.
