“A special library - a pharmacy for the soul”

On January 30, as part of the lecture hall “Local History Lessons”, the Regional Library named after S. Toraigyrov held an event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Pavlodar Regional Special Library for Blind and Visually Impaired Citizens. The event was attended by Zhamal Kenzhebekova, head of the Special Library, Kabdulov Dyusen, chairman of the Kazakhstan society of the blind, readers and library staff. Zhamal Kiyankinovna spoke about the successes and achievements of her librarians in the field of education. Therefore, for example, in 2019, Nur-Sultan hosted the Festival of organizations and workers in the field of culture and art “Rukhani Kazyna - 2019”. The winner in the nomination “The best librarian of a special library for the blind and visually impaired” was the deputy head of the library Lyazzat Kuantayeva.

In addition, the library workers remembered with good and kind words the previous head of the special library Zoya Sayarovna Abeldinova. Zhibek Ramazanovna Bashirova mentioned working with her at one time. Regular readers also congratulated the library staff and wished them prosperity and success in their future work.

The guests at the event were students of B. Akhmetov Pedagogical College. They were very interested in exhibiting Braille books.
